NYPD seeks suspects in brutal attack that broke woman's jaw

The New York City Police Department is searching for suspects wanted in connection to a woman who was brutally assaulted  in the Bronx.

On May 18, a 37-year-old woman was assaulted by three men in the Bronx.

The NYPD have since obtained security-cam footage of the incident, and are calling on the public to help identify the perpetrators.

“Do you know these guys?” the NYPD tweeted, adding that the attack took place on the corner of Lydig Avenue and White Plains Road at around 9:14 PM.

In the security-cam footage, the victim can be seen being tackled to the ground by two men who then proceed to kick and beat her with the help of a third man who joins a few seconds later.

Eventually they back up and give the woman some space, when one of the men suddenly comes in and kicks her in the face.

The woman suffered a broken jaw as a result of the attack and, according to the New York Post, was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where she was treated and later released.

Close-up images of the suspects were shared to Twitter in the hopes that someone would be able to recognize them.

There has not been any information regarding a motive for the attack, or whether it was targeted.

The incident is only one in a string of violent attacks across the city in recent weeks, and while the police have largely been successful in apprehending perpetrators, New Yorkers remain vigilant.
